Our volunteer program needs clearer structure and more effective onboarding. We currently lack standardized role descriptions, onboarding materials, and volunteer guides tailored to remote roles. Without these materials, we do not have a repeatable package the next volunteer coordinator can use to recruit, train, and retain volunteers as we grow.

We are seeking a professional with expertise in Volunteer Management and Training and Development to create a practical, ready to use toolkit for Rescue City’s volunteer program. The volunteer will:

Review existing materials and gather team input to identify gaps and prioritize volunteer roles, especially remote positions.

Draft clear role descriptions outlining responsibilities, time commitments, required skills, and reporting relationships.

Develop onboarding and training materials, including orientation resources, role-specific guides, and checklists for volunteers and the coordinator.

Create editable recruitment and retention resources, including communication templates, volunteer check-in guidelines, and recognition ideas.

Organize all materials into a single toolkit with a brief implementation and handoff guide for the next volunteer coordinator.
