Let’s advance pro bono, together

We’re shaping what’s next for pro bono, building the research, standards, and systems that bring great pro bono to more nonprofits. It’ll take innovators, and leaders across the field. Are you in?

IGNITE

Nov 4-5, 2026 • New York City

IGNITE Summit is where the future of pro bono gets built. Cross-sector leaders convene with one goal: multiply what pro bono can do so every nonprofit can count on it.

Three speakers on stage at the IGNITE summit. Each is in a chair. The middle speaker holds the microphone and is speaking to the crowd.

Innovation studio

Taproot helped pioneer modern pro bono service 25 years ago. Our Innovation Studio is where we design for the next era.

No one knows more about making pro bono work, and no one reaches more nonprofits and skilled professionals. Our studio puts both to work to take on challenges the field hasn’t answered yet. Through real-world programs and partnerships, we test new ways to create greater value on all sides of the pro bono marketplace—and strengthen the infrastructure that connects them. What works becomes part of Taproot’s DNA or gets shared with the field—turning what we learn into greater impact and scale.

Have a challenge, idea, or opportunity we should tackle together? Let’s talk.

Our latest innovation pilots:

Nonprofit AI Readiness

We’ve launched a first-of-its-kind initiative that puts nonprofits at the front of responsible AI adoption while building new skills for the pro bono consultants who make it possible. This initiative was made possible with support from OKTA.

As AI reshapes work, “human skills” like problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and adaptability matter more than ever. Skills that are hard to learn in a classroom. Taproot’s Human Skills at Work report shows how pro bono service outperformed traditional training for building human skills.
