AI Readiness Check-In: Where Should We Start?

We are a mission-driven nonprofit exploring how AI might help our team work more effectively — but we’re not sure where to start. We’re looking for a skilled volunteer to help us think through our current situation and identify the most promising, responsible first steps.

During our 60-minute consultation, we’d like the volunteer to help us:
-Understand where our biggest workflow pain points are and whether AI could realistically address them
-Identify 2–3 specific, low-risk opportunities where AI could reduce manual burden while keeping humans in the loop
-Get honest, practical guidance on what it takes for our organization to adopt, implement, and scale AI in ways that align with our missions, values, and operational goals.

We’ll come prepared to share a brief overview of how our team currently operates, where staff time is most strained, and any AI tools we’re already using informally. We’re looking for a trusted thought partner who can help us cut through the noise and figure out what makes sense for our mission and our capacity.
