We are a brand new nonprofit with big ambitions and expertise in our area of work, but unfortunately no nonprofit experience. I need someone to advise me on where to look for initial sources of funding. It seems so many donors want track records, not only of the work we do (which wouldn't be an issue) but also they want to see a financial track record for the nonprofit, so how exactly do you get started?
