Expanding Waves of Harmony's Reach and Collaborations with Japanese-American Communities

Waves of Harmony is my California based East-meets-West music ensemble built around Bachido’s mission of cultural exchange. We are currently finishing a world fusion five album set which features the Shamisen as well as other professional Japanese instrumentation in collaboration with western folk ensemble.

With this material, we’re looking to expand our reach and our ability to create meaningful collaborations with Japanese American Communities. Ideally, funding would go towards recouping the costs of producing the five album project, and facilitating collaboration with those communities on live presentations of this material.

We imagine the best resources / people to reach out to are private companies and Patrons of the Arts within Japanese-American Communities. (i.e. Japan Society, J-A society of Georgia, etc…)

To this end we need professionals who are experienced in communicating with organizations of this type and who can create marketing materials (such as a “investment strategy” PDF which could be sent to such organization’s mailing lists, etc.)

Waves of Harmony is formed entirely of Bachido members, and has a 501(c)3 sponsor in Arizona (Odaiko Sonora) which would allow such donors to receive a tax write-off for their support.
