Board Recruitment Strategy and Planning

We'd like to connect with a skilled volunteer who can help us develop a board recruitment strategy to support the growth and sustainability of The Youth Project.

The volunteer will help us:

-Assess our current board structure and identify priority skills, expertise, and leadership gaps
-Develop ideal candidate profiles for future board members
-Create or refine board member role descriptions and expectations
-Recommend outreach channels and recruitment approaches for attracting qualified candidates
-Develop a simple board recruitment and onboarding plan, including recommended next steps and timelines

The goal of this Project is to equip our organization with a clear, actionable strategy for recruiting and onboarding board members who can contribute expertise in areas such as nonprofit governance, fundraising, partnership development, organizational leadership, and strategic planning.

This project will directly support The Youth Project's mission by strengthening our leadership and governance capacity. A dedicated Board Member will provide strategic guidance, professional expertise, and oversight that will help us expand our programs and increase our impact on young people.

Their involvement will support organizational growth, improve decision-making, enhance sustainability, and help build partnerships and fundraising opportunities. By strengthening the foundation of the organization, we will be better equipped to deliver mentorship, healthcare awareness, education, digital skills training, and community support programs for underserved youth.

Ultimately, this project will help ensure that The Youth Project can continue empowering young people with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to achieve their full potential.

To ensure the success of this project, the selected Board Member will be actively involved in the growth and development of The Youth Project. We will provide a thorough orientation to our mission, programs, goals, and current initiatives so they can effectively contribute from the outset.

The Board Member will participate in strategic planning, organizational decision-making, partnership development, and fundraising discussions. Regular meetings and open communication channels will be maintained to keep them informed and engaged in the organization's activities.

We will foster a collaborative environment where their expertise, ideas, and leadership can help strengthen our governance, expand our impact, and support our mission of empowering young people through education, mentorship, healthcare awareness, digital skills development, and community engagement.
