We’ve recently developed the narrative and content for a new organizational pitch deck for the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA), and we’re looking for a skilled presentation/graphic designer to turn that content into a polished, visually compelling PowerPoint.

WCAAA serves older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers across 41 towns in western Connecticut. This pitch deck will be used with community partners, funders, and other stakeholders to explain who we are, who we serve, the challenges in our region, our programs, impact, financial stewardship, and ways to get involved.

We’re not asking the volunteer to write the content from scratch—we already have a complete slide-by-slide outline and draft text (in a word document) What we need help with is:

-Reviewing our draft slide content, logo, and existing materials
-Proposing a visual direction (colors, fonts, image/illustration style) that feels warm, clear, and dignified for an aging-services organization
-Designing layouts for approximately 12–16 slides (cover, mission/vision, community needs, our programs, impact, who we serve, theory of change, team/governance, partnerships, financial snapshot, funding needs, call to action, thank you)
-Creating a simple slide master/template so our staff can update and reuse the deck for different audiences

We anticipate this being a focused project over several weeks, with 2–5 hours per week of collaboration (kickoff call, one or two rounds of feedback on draft designs, and final file handoff in PowerPoint).
The Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA) exists to help older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers live independently, safely, and with dignity in the communities they call home. We coordinate a network of services across 41 towns—meals, transportation, in-home support, caregiver respite, benefits counseling, wellness programs, and elder rights advocacy.

To sustain and grow this work, we need to clearly tell our story to funders, partners, and community audiences. A well-designed, easy-to-understand pitch deck will be one of our core tools for doing that. It will help us:

Explain the challenges older adults and caregivers face in our region

Show how WCAAA’s programs respond directly to those needs

Demonstrate our impact with clear visuals and data

Communicate our funding needs and how partners can make a difference

Your design work will directly support our ability to build partnerships and attract new funding, which translates into very concrete outcomes on the ground: more meals delivered, more rides to medical appointments, more in-home support, more caregiver respite, and more older adults able to remain safely at home rather than entering institutional care.

In short, your time and talent will help us unlock more resources for some of the most vulnerable members of our community—and give our staff and board a powerful tool to advocate for them.
We’ve done a lot of the groundwork to make this project smooth and impactful.

Content is already developed. A board member (Treasurer) has worked with our leadership team to draft the full storyline and text for the pitch deck, based on our most recent Area Plan on Aging, Annual Report, and “All About Us” materials. We’re not starting from a blank page—we’re ready for design.

Internal buy-in is in place. Our President & CEO, board leadership, and key staff are aligned that this pitch deck will be a core tool for introducing WCAAA to new funders, partners, and community audiences. Everyone understands the importance of the project and is supportive.

Materials are gathered and ready to share. We can provide:

Draft slide-by-slide content

Our logo and basic brand elements (colors, fonts, existing PowerPoint template)

Supplemental content for context if needed or requested

Clear point of contact and decision path. I (Board Treasurer) will be the primary point of contact, coordinating with our CEO and staff as needed. We can offer timely feedback and make decisions quickly so the project keeps moving.

We also recognize that our draft content may be more detailed than what belongs on a slide. We are very open to the volunteer helping us synthesize, simplify, and prioritize information for clarity and visual impact. If something feels like “too much text,” we’d welcome your guidance on what to trim, what to move to speaker notes, and how to present key points in a more visual, engaging way.

Plan for implementation. Once completed, this deck will be:

Used by our CEO and board members in meetings with funders and community partners

Adapted by staff for presentations to civic groups, faith communities, and local coalitions

Saved as a standard template for future WCAAA presentations

Our goal is to respect the volunteer’s time by being organized, responsive, and ready to implement the final product right away.
