Our nonprofit wants to work more efficiently through use of AI, but do so responsibly. We have developed a draft of a new Acceptable Use Policy along with an AI Use Policy for our team. We are seeking a volunteer who is experienced with AI to review this draft and make recommendations. This project will also include helping us understand how to implement these guidelines and communicate them internally to our fully remote, geographically distributed team.

In short, by the time we wrap up this project, we will have developed internal documentation that guides the do’s and do not’s of our organization’s AI usage and an internal communications plan for the rollout of these guidelines.
This project will help us lay the foundation to use AI responsibly to accelerate positive impact for children and youth in Central America. We serve a network of 12 community partner organizations, and we commit to sharing what we learn through this process with our partners - so your impact will not only help our organization, but also provide a blueprint for other, smaller nonprofits in Central America as well.
We already have a working draft in both English and Spanish of the policies we'd like help reviewing. (You don't need to speak Spanish, but if you do, that's great too!) We've also already conducted an internal survey late last year to understand how our team is already using AI, and we had two virtual sessions with our team in January to discuss the ethical implications of using AI in our work. We are well-prepared to roll out this policy.
