Grant Proposal Preparation

Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in reviewing a grant proposal and making updates.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.

EQuip Our Kids! needs to open new funding channels that support our most recent initiatives, including outreach to corporations and mental health and education funders. We are a national probono public awareness campaign whose mission is helping assure that all US pre-K to 12 schools provide full social emotional skills learning to all students by 2030 and many homes adopt these practices.

Our belief is you will be helping the most important education reform AND social movement of our time because of its potential to transform on a mass level human mindsets and behaviors that create so much pain, suffering, and conflict in the world, individually and collectively. COVIDs made this learning even more imperative as masses of children experienced emotional and mental health issues that SEL has helped relieve. We work in coalitions with many education organizations Recent federal cutbacks to SEL funding make it more urgent for us to develop business support for SEL and to increase our marketing efforts as well to the public.

Schools with comprehensive SEL see a sustained improvement in grades, attendance, student happiness, and emotional well-being in and out of school. These schools also see sustained decreases in violence, bullying, students experiencing depression and anxiety, suicides, dropout rates, and
drug/alcohol use. So does society as these students grow into adulthood.

We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.
