Autism Resource Finder App Development

The goal for this project is to utilize Microsoft 365 apps to develop an app that can be used to find service providers and resources for autistic and neurodivergent individuals in the Baton Rouge area and/or across Louisiana. I created the resource guide as a PDF and a Word document, but I would like to make it more easily accessible by creating search and filter features in the app. The end result would be embeddable on my website.

The Capital Area Autism Network is the premier network of stakeholders convening to provide support and education to address the most impactful needs of the autistic and neurodivergent community in the Baton Rouge area. We are working collaboratively across the community to fill gaps within the community by working with stakeholders to make connections that lead to a more seamless navigation of a siloed service and resource delivery landscape for families with autistic members. This resource guide will help these families find the medical, educational, behavioral, therapeutic, and social resources they need to feel supported and welcome within the Baton Rouge community.

In preparation for this project, I have created a full resource guide and have a Microsoft Business Premium subscription. I have broken down the resource guide into a spreadsheet to make data referencing easier. This project is a top priority for my organization, so I am very committed to doing the work to make it work.
