Create a Templated Letter of Intent (LOI)
Project tasks will include:
- Reviewing our mission, goals, and past achievements to effectively communicate our impact.
- Drafting and revising a compelling LOI that emphasizes our work to prevent elder mistreatment: neglect, abuse, and fraud.
- Provide recommendations on how we can tailor the LOI template to meet the specific requirements of each foundation.
- Collaborating with our team to incorporate program details and funding needs.
Your support will help drive crucial funding to our programs!
Put your writing skills to work and help us secure $100k or more in grant funds! We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to craft a compelling 2-3 page Letter of Intent (LOI) that will attract private foundation support for our senior advocacy programs. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of protecting seniors from neglect, abuse, and fraud.
This critical step will help secure funding to expand our efforts and continue advocating for vulnerable seniors. If you have experience in grant writing or nonprofit development, your skills could be the key to driving meaningful change in our community.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference while building valuable experience in grant writing for a cause that matters!
**Preparations for the Project:**
We’ve identified 3-5 private foundations that have expressed interest in our work and require a Letter of Intent (LOI) before accepting a full grant proposal. We've gathered background materials on our organization, including our mission, impact data, and program goals, to ensure the LOI aligns with the foundations' priorities. Additionally, we've created a timeline and assigned team members to provide any support the volunteer may need, such as access to financials or other necessary data.
**Implementation Plan:**
Once the LOI is complete, we will submit it to each foundation in accordance with their deadlines. Our team will then follow up with these foundations to monitor progress and respond to any further requests. Success will be measured by how many of these foundations invite us to submit full proposals, bringing us closer to securing essential funding for our programs. If successful, we will use the LOI as a template for future outreach to additional foundations.
