Project Overview
We seek a volunteer to help with marketing strategy from GivingTuesday to Year-End. Our nonprofit focuses on year-end gifts, with many coming in the last week of the year. We’d like to craft an engaging strategy. The strategy should be to share our programs - including a grant assistance program and community activities - into energetic pieces that encourage people to volunteer, share, and give! We’d like to focus on increasing current donors and meeting new ones. We do great work to support NYC moms led by a team of moms, and we’d love to scale our work at year's end. We do the majority of our fundraising at year end, nearly 60-70% of our budget is brought in between September and December, we know this year will be a challenge amidst an election year and crowded inboxes for all and we'd like to ensure we stand out. We'd like help creating a strong campaign that may attract new and current donors and helping us figure out the strategy to cut through the noise. We have a growing social media presence and new board members; we have an online email system via Constant Contact. We have a part-time Development Manager who can help support, but her time is already spread thin, so we hope to have support from someone to flush out the plan and use our time effectively. We have testimonials, stories and feedback from moms as well as great pictures and images.
Nonprofit Overview
Nurse-Family Partnership is a nationwide, evidence-based home visiting model for low-income pregnant mothers. Nurses visit mothers from pregnancy until their child is two years old, providing education and support to create dramatic improvements in outcomes for babies.
As The Friends, our mission is to improve babies’ lives by assuring that NYC NFP has the resources to fully achieve its goals. We provide financial assistance to mothers to allow them to pursue higher education and we pay for activities and events that increase their social and community connections. We also provide benefits for nurses that advance their skills and contribute to their satisfaction and retention. None of these additional services are available under the basic government-funded program. Friends increases the impact of the program on NYC clients.
