Help Navigate Amazon's Book Self-Publishing Process

Looking for a volunteer to help us navigate Amazon's book self-publishing process! For a passive fundraiser, our cofounder is writing a children's book series to help children heal from a variety of emotional/psychological issues/traumas, utilizing the immense healing capacity of nature encounters (the author is a Ph.D. psychologist). Each book will include facts about the particular nature "diplomat" teaching the lesson (e.g., a specific animal), to promote understanding and encourage interest in nature conservation. Each book will also include a bracelet with a charm/crystal relevant to the story/healer in each book in the series.

The majority of proceeds go directly to providing therapy for trauma survivors with minimal resources for care (or who haven't responded well to traditional forms of therapy-). We want to start by self-publishing on Amazon, and need someone who can navigate their process to get us posted and selling! We thank you for your interest in our organization!

Equusolutions, Inc. has been providing equine-assisted therapy services since 2009 to help heal those suffering from the ravages of psychological trauma. Originally founded as a not-for-profit, by 2016, we had acquired our 501 (c)(3) status, and established as a Fl co-op charity. We treat the full range of psychological/emotional trauma, including, but not limited to, PTSD, MST, DID, human trafficking survivors, chronic cult abuse survivors, childhood sexual abuse survivors, survivors of violent crime, and domestic violence, school/workplace/public violence survivors, etc- We have experience with veterans & first responders as well (via our cofounder, Dr. Williams, being a tricare provider as of 1999, prior to formal nonprofit establishment).

We offer individual, couples, family & group sessions, as well as 4-day healing retreats (even for the whole family, as warranted!), and professional workshops for those serving these populations. We are presently in dire need of passive fundraisers, as the Amazon Smile program went defunct in 2023, and had been our most consistent and profitable online fundraiser, so we have had to come up with new creative ideas, and would SO appreciate your help with getting this book series out there for us!

Dr. Williams has outlined the first 6 books of this series, & has text & illustrations of the 1st book ready to go! We have a jeweler who mass produces the jewelry at a reduced price for us, due to our nonprofit co-op status, and a warehouse + staff we can utilize for shipping & handling, if need be. *(Need to get a few published ASAP for an upcoming conference..,) We also have a history of successful working relationships with prior Taproot volunteers! : ) Thank you in advance for your interest!
